Lost Daycare Lunches

I must admit that poor honey's lunches have been a little on the boring side. She gets a pretty sandwich but then the rest of it is pretty well tossed together. Here's some of the Nude Food Movers Rubbish Free Lunchboxes she's been taking.
Sinchies yoghurt pouch, beetorrot & tomatoes, pretzels, CuteZCute tiger sandwich, milk Juice in the Box, kiwi and strawberry salad.

Flutterbat Lunch

One of Miss M's favourite episodes of My Little Pony right now is the Flutterbat episode. I made this lunch in the lead up to Halloween, but Friday the 13th seemed just as appropriate to share :-)

The same week I also made an Apple Jack lunch for her, with most of the same ingredients.

Halloween Lunches

We didn't really go all out with Halloween lunches this year, but I did make the girls little Jack-o-Lantern lunches for Honey's last day of the week.

Miss M had pumpkin scone with FooFoodler detail, passionfruit with yoghurt, sandwich and a Lindt ball and juice in her pimped Juice in the Box.
Honey also had a Jack-o-lantern sandwich and a pumpkin scone. The rest of her lunch consisted of leftovers, yoghurt and watermelon.
Miss M had show & share on Friday and the theme was 'Favourite Food'. She decided cake was her favourite food, so we whipped up a batch to share and I used our trusty Lunch Punch to give her one in her lunchbox too :-)

This was one of my lunches for the week.

Many Dino Lunches

I love my Dinosaur sandwich cutter! It's so easy to make a 'cheat' lunch! I just add my Dinosaur muffin cup, a pick and some store bought biscuits and I'm done!
Gotta love a cute pick!

Here are some other Dino-Lunches the girls have been taking

Wockets and Dragons

The last of the Book Week lunches that I haven't gotten around to posting yet.

Miss M had just recently read 'Wocket in my Pocket' at school. This was one of her favourites when she was younger. I think she just liked all the funny names in it and hearing Mr Loving & I say them!

I was put onto a great app - Camera Lucida by some of my Bento Bloggers & Friends. Gee it makes this drawing business easy! More like tracing which is more to my skill level!

And of course I had to include Stormfly from How to Train Your Dragon for Miss M too!
Next time I think *I* will choose the image to trace. This one was a little difficult!

Is There Room on the Broom for a Lunch Like Me?

Have you read Room on the Broom? Or seen the short film? It is such a wonderful story, and my girls love it! I've been meaning to make a Room on the Broom lunch for some time and finally got around to it for BookWeek. The Easy Lunchbox was for Miss M
The witch had a *cat*, and a *very tall hat*, And *long ginger hair which she wore in a plait*.

CuteZCute Cat sandwich
Ice cream cone hat
Mandarin ginger plait
And Honey took the same but different.
I also included a cheese and breadstick 'wand' which gets lost in the story.
As does the bow from her plait.

And for Miss M's brain break I made some strawberry and mini-marshmallow mushrooms :-)

The Croods Eep

Miss M has been a bit under the weather and has had some time at home recovering. One thing she's enjoyed is chilling in front of the TV watching movies - don't we all when we're sick? Her current favourite? The Croods! So I made her an Eep lunch to help her feel better :-)

Mandarin and blueberry, sandwich with tortilla art, milk in her Juice in the Box, her favourite bikkies & dip, and an ANZAC biscuit.

Hiding Tiger Lunch

One of Miss M's reading books at prep was 'Hiding' with various animals hiding in the tall dry grass. So I made her a 'Hiding' lunch :-)

Cherry tomatoes hiding under some beetroot, passionfruit hiding in her yoghurt, her tiger sandwich hiding (not very well) in some pretzel grass. For brain break she had strawberries, with green & gold kiwi fruit and milk in her Juice in the Box.
Honey had the same but different. Her yoghurt was in a pouch
Honey helped to make the lunches and seemed to really go for the Vegemite while I was making Miss M's so I tried one layer of her sandwich as Vegemite. Guess which layer came home >.< Seems she just likes it straight from the jar *sigh*.

Hearty Lunches for my Loves

We are all down with variations of the flu at the moment and I'm finding it rather difficult to get creative with the girls lunches. Good thing I have a backlog of lunches to share!

These were sent the last day of book week. Miss M has yoghurt, strawberry hearts, popcorn, juice, and sandwich with heart cut out and '<3 2 read' with picks.
Do you think I got away with using my 'S' backwards as the '2'?
Honey & I usually have a 'Friday pie-day' so she had some party pies, heart sandwich, popcorn, strawberry hearts and yoghurt.
The heart sandwiches sucked up nicely in her Nude Food Movers.
To make the most out of the bread I made an extra heart out of the scraps, creating a 3-slice sandwich.

Details of my tools & toys can be found on this page.
