I have a little problem with Flashback Friday this week. . . I can't remember the result of my experiment! I know this was last year in the lead up to Christmas and I only thought of these photos after finding some of these cuttings in the back of the freezer the other day (perfect for pizza toppings by the way). I do remember I used a red capsicum, and have since learned thanks to Wendolonia that it is much easier to use a cutter once you have *peeled the capsicum*! Of course, why didn't I think of that!
These little sausage deco cutters worked but I'm sure it's these that ended up giving me my first bento injury - death by paper cut!
Vegetable cutters - designed to do the work.
A selection from my Create-A-Shape pack. My go to, favourite pack.
The Luv-It by FunBites.
And some pretty deco cutters.
You can see some of the edges are a little ragged across the board, but if I'd known about that peeling trick things might have turned out differently. Live and learn!
Details of my tools & toys can be found on this page.

Divided Container
Another Flashback Friday. I can't remember when I took the photos of this snack box, but I think it was this year.
This one I remember, and not just because of the giant Take & Toss container of whipped cream :-)
This was my 'take a plate' for Mothers' Group last year. Picklets with a selection of jams & butter. I love going to take-a-plate gatherings on Monday because it generally means I make a giant batch of pancakes for breakfast Sunday, ensuring there's enough batter to make picklets. And then I have the excuse to whip some fresh cream too!

This box had a sliced cheese stick, jam sandwich cut with a Cube It and a dried fruit medley. I bought the round ones in the hope I could convince Miss M they were lollies (like Jubes) but she wouldn't buy it. Or eat them :-(
These photos are from a little more recently (since my computer went kaput). Apologies they don't look as pretty.
Miss M working on her knife skills helping me pack Honey a snack box for the day. I normally pack lunches for Miss M at night, but more often than not I forget about packing Honey and/or I a snack box if we need it until the morning.
Grapes, cheese Cube-It sandwich and strawberries.

Big Ted's Big Adventure Bento
Miss M had her class photo day last week so I had to make her a special lunch. She loves taking photos and animals so it's no wonder that she's a fan of Big Ted's Big Adventure on ABC Kids. And the perfect excuse to play with my new CuteZCute Cuddle Pals!
This plum jam sandwich with Nutella details was made from the crust of the bread. Not quite Big Ted yellow, but close enough. He's holding his camera made from off cuts and remembered to wear his hat out at the zoo.
He took lots of photos of the animals playing with the strawberries and yoghurt as well as the ones in the cheese, pepperoni and cherry tomato pen.
And a nice serve of milk to round everything out. All ready to pop into our Nude Food Movers.
Details of my tools & toys can be found on this page.

Strawberry Swirl Yoghurt
Do you remember my Strawberry Soup/Sauce I shared a few weeks ago? Here's one of my re-purposes for it.
Miss M had a playdate with a kindy friend and as always requested matching lunches.
So here we have some ham & cheese pocket sandwiches with sprinkle hearts. Strawberries and grapes, and some vanilla yoghurt with strawberry sauce swirl.
Both served in Easy Lunchboxes with mini dippers (found at affiliate Bento USA here). Spoons from affiliate Little Bento World.
[UPDATE: Easy Lunchboxes will be available exclusively in Australia through Little Bento World! Here's your link- WooHoo!!!]
And this is the mummy box. Cube-It sandwich for Honey and some fruit as well as a mini dipper of swirled yoghurt. The rest though? Stay tuned, I will post my 'the Devil Made Me Do It' slice soon :-)

Park Lunches
Throwing together a quick 'Flashback Friday' this week. These are all from before Honey was born, eek!
These Decor Quarters are 'Daddy & Me' lunches. Some mini chocolate muffins, popcorn & dried fruit trail mix, sandwiches with packet biscuits and a nut bar for him and a cheese stick for Miss M.
I also sent some frozen Gogo Juice along with them.

I remember this lunch! It was one of our last family of three outings. We had sandwiches, mini chocolate and vanilla muffins, cheese chunks, ANZAC slice remnants and some apples.
A treat lunch for taking to the pool one day. I had a doughnut, fruit pack (no idea why I had packet fruit, perhaps someone had been on a plane and brought their leftovers?), a sandwich, and some strawberries with peanut butter & Nutella dip.
Miss M had a doughnut, sandwich rolls, and fruit in her little character bags.
I think this may have been a pool lunch too. Both contain apple with peanut butter/Nutella dip and some FunBites sandwich shapes. Miss M's also has a juice, some biscuits and dip. Mine has some strawberries and packet biscuits. Any guesses who actually got to eat the strawberries?
