FunBites Triangles

Did you hear that FunBites have released a new shape? Well, they released it earlier this year, but I've been a little busy with the whole baby business to get around to posting a review.

As you can see you can quite easily mix & match between these cutters to make the most of your bread. I tend to 'use up' the bottom part of the bread with the triangles or the cubes as they fit so neatly in place. That also means you get a few extra & different shapes to play with.

The unit has the trademark sturdiness of FunBites with that wonderful punch-out piece meaning you're not fishing around for those little morsels. It also relies on that wonderful rocking motion to cut through rather than twisting as most cutters do.

The triangle configuration gives you more efficient use of your desired matter (I must admit I tend to use mostly on sandwiches) than the heart cutter as you can easily re-align & make a second cut, much like the squares.

Loving:

  • Dishwasher safe (although hand washing is recommended)
  • BPA Free
  • Endless possibilites, especially when combined with the Luv It & Cube It
  • Standard FunBites features of sturdiness & the popper/punch-out piece
  • Suitable to use on a wide variety of foods
  • Makes lovely little bite sized pieces, perfect for toddlers (or mummas trying to do things one handed)

Loving a little less, but liveable:
  • Hand washing recommended (although they are dishwasher safe)
  • The overall size doesn't make complete use of a slice of bread, but it is easy enough to realign & make a second cut
  • The actual triangle shapes are not that different from what is in the centre of the Luv-It

Overall:
I do like the Triangles & unless I'm particularly wanting the heart shape or the semi-circles from the Luv-It, I do tend to use the Triangles in preference. If you were in the market for a cutter I would suggest either the Luv-It or the Triangles, not both.

Details of my tools & toys can be found on this page.

There's only a week left to enter our latest competition to win your very own Red Luv-It in this previous post.
