Today's the first day of Blogtoberfest!! How exciting!
I am going to attempt to blog everyday in October, so apologies in advance for filling up your inboxes :-) If you'd prefer you can now sign up for weekly emails (in the sidebar on the right), although it is going to be a very exciting month. I'll be looking at getting our first giveaway(s) up & running (who'd have thought there was so much paperwork involved in giving away a $10 lunchbox?!?!?). I'll also be announcing our first Sponsor, receiving some goodies from a recent giveaway I won (woohoo! Of course I'll be showing them all off ) and taking advantage of the motivation to catch up on posting some of my older lunches. . . just like this one.
Simple sandwich cut into 9 squares & topped with naughts (cheese cut with 'O' biscuit cutter & halved cherry tomatoes) and crosses (ham squares which I then cut the corners off of - realising later I also have an 'X' biscuit cutter *shrugs*). Can you see the sandwich actually has 2 different breads? White & multi-grain which have been flipped alternately.
These 'zebra' sandwiches are a great compromise when it comes to getting little (and big ones) to give up the white stuff. They're also a little nicer on the grocery budget than purely grained bread with the $1 white loaves available at most supermarkets now.
Served in a Tupperware square round with baking paper underneath for easy removal.
Thank you for celebrating Blogtoberfest with me. Don't forget to check out some of the other great bloggers participating by clicking on the button in the sidebar.

Thanks Miss Prudence. This is one of my favourite 'even Daddy can make it' lunches ;-)
