Home Made Easter Chocolates

I have many fond memories of moulding chocolates growing up and I thoroughly enjoyed making them with Miss M last year so we decided to do it all again this year!

I might need to invest in a bigger frypan or smaller ramekins so we can create even more colours next year!

Testing if the big ones are ready. . .

Woohoo! They are!

I actually really liked the rainbow eggs and am kicking myself I didn't get a photo of them cut open. All the more reason to make them again :-)

More colours.

Honey 'helping' clean up after.

I think my favourite were the pastel rainbow ones we made at the end of the session with all the left over bits of chocolate. Note to self, use the compound chocolate for this method - the real stuff didn't want to set in the fridge ;-p.

Last Easter Lunch (for this year)

This is the last lunch Miss M took to Prep for term one. Can you believe it's over already?

Her Yumbox has: yoghurt, Kiwi fruit carved like an Easter Egg, carrot bunny in lettuce, chocolate egg treat, round Vegemite sandwiches - tomb with the stone rolled away and a cross pick, and ham flowers.

I hope you are enjoying the beginning of your school holidays. I'm looking forward to some quiet down time with the girls. What do you have planned?

Bunny Bottom Snack Box

Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter!

This little snack box of popcorn was easy to decorate with a little sticky tape and a texta pen. The gold coin was a donation for Free Dress Day at school.

Huge Easter Round Up

I've been a little slack posting Easter offerings this year so here's a giant round up of the lunches Miss M has been taking. This first one though was for Honey -her first official Bento Box! This is what I packed for her to graze on while we were at our local Playgroup open day and markets.

Cheese and sultanas, cucumber checkerboard, moulded egg on lettuce, sandwich hearts, celery with peanut butter and sultanas (ants on a log).

Gingerbread man repurposed as a bunny.

Sides of grapes and salami & cheese, crackers not shown.

Yoghurt pouch beneath the sandwich.

Simple and quick cookie cutter imprint.

Add a few picks to make it super cute.

Easter Egg apple. I got this idea from the Little Bento World Customers group :-)

Practice run of my display lunch for the markets.

Upside-down CuteZCute with bread off cuts for ears.

Grapes and blueberries with a cute little pick.

Gotta love some Bunny Butts!

My new Rabbit vegetable cutter arrived so I had to try it out straight away :-)

Nestled it into some watermelon.

A simple FooDoodler egg

This was the display lunch I ended up making for the Playgroup markets - cute don't you think? I added some bunny picks in the morning after I realised I hadn't already done so :-/

Super quick cheese art. Out of the blue Miss M asked to watch Kung Fu Panda again, so I made her a  Child Rabbit :-)

And another gingerbread man-bunny.

*Phew*
Wishing you and yours a Happy and Safe Easter!

Cross Sandwiches

Miss M asked for a cross sandwich so this is what I made. The perfect opportunity to try out our Nude Food Movers Lunch Pack which I've had since last year but hadn't played with yet.
A simple cross and some brain break popcorn in the sandwich size boxes. Some grapes & blueberries in one of the snack size boxes.

I replaced the other snack size box with a  Sinchies pouch of yoghurt and a milk popper.
This is another simple cross I made one night when I was feeling a little less than creative. Served in Nude Food Movers Rubbish Free Lunch Box.
