Naughty White Christmas

NN 2013 White Christmas Desc

Loving Lunches and The Kids Menu have teamed up to give your classic Christmas recipes a Naughty or Nice makeover.  We have a new Naughty and Nice recipe for each day of the week - So whether you're Naughty or Nice this Christmas, we've got recipes for you!

There are so many White Christmas recipes out there. We pulled our inspiration from this one, but if you're looking to get your Naughty on this year, my version is for you!

Ingredients
  • 500g white chocolate
  • 1 1/2 cups puffed rice cereal (Rice Bubbles)
  • 1 cup puffed honey wheat cereal (I found these Homebrand Honey Poppas which worked well)
  • 100g jelly beans (I used Christmas colours, chopped in half)
  • 200g granulated peanuts
  • 200g Christmas M&Ms
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tin condensed milk1 TBsp peanut butter

 Mix your dry ingredients

Caramelise your condensed milk and peanut butter over a medium heat.

Not too caramel-y, it is called 'White' Cristmas :-)

Add your white chocolate

And stir until melted. I removed mine from the heat but it cooled too quickly. I ended up adding a little cream to help things along.

Add your dry ingredients and mix well.

Press into whatever moulds you choose.

I quite liked my giant Christmas tree made using some baking paper rolled into a cone shape and sticky-taped in place. The little presents (squares) worked out to be a great size too.

However, using the mini cones as a mould didn't quite go to plan. I would suggest leaving the mix in the cones and smothering with green tinted white chocolate or icing and decorating with mini M&Ms.

Now click the button below to hop on over to The Kids Menu to see the Nice Version. This is the last of our series, I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have.

Thank you to Jan Henry Solutions for our clever graphic!

Thank you so much for joining us on this magical adventure! Please let us know what you thought of the series, and if you'd like to see more of the same.
