Team Avengers

When I was searching for inspiration for the Bento of the Week 'Team' theme a good friend suggested 'Team Avengers' - it took me a little while to figure out how to do it, but here it is. B - this one's for you :-)

Now squint & use your imagination. . . can you see it?

Iron man - sliced cheese and a cheerio

Iron Man - I decided not to cook him, mainly because I got distracted doing too many things at once today :-)

Captain America - well his shield anyway

Rice cracker, Pepperoni from Walkerston Country Meats and cheese cut with my smallest star biscuit cutter

 Thor - well, his hammer

Pretzel stick and roma cherry tomato

Hawkeye - this was before I dipped him in ice water & I forgot to take a separate one when he came out. I used the same technique as you would for Apple Rabbits - there's a great tutorial over at Lunch in a Box but I never seem to be able to get my ends to curl as nicely as hers :-)

The Avengers symbol - I did this dodgy pen version in case I made a mess of the carving. . . .

. . . but I think it turned out OK

I used the letter 'V' from my biscuit cutter set as the 'A' was too big

Black widow - I cheated & re-did my Vegemite topped sandwich from this previous post - just super-sized. And now I realise I forgot to add sultanas on the eyes

The Hulk.

It isn't easy being green. . .or making a Kiwi Fruit look angry, but you get the idea :-)

I used one of the face cutters I got in my Haul of Goodies from Bento Bloggers & Friends & Bento USA on some sliced cheese & added a couple of black sesame seeds

    1. Thanks Tara! You do have to use your imagination - I'm not sure I'll get away with it when she grows up & actually knows who I'm trying to emulate :-)
