Lots of My Little Pony Lunches

Wow! And I didn't even take photos of most of them!! Here are some of the lunches that were made in a My Little Pony phase. I think these were all from when Miss M was in kindergarten! She's now going in to grade 3! How crazy is that?!?!?

Mold it!

Egg molds create small, fun, shaped boiled eggs.This egg mold tutorial makes it look easy! 

They are cute and at $3 for 2, I'm sure I will get my money's worth!  I am also going to try using them at dinner time for mashed potato. I may use them for freezing small amounts of yogurt too.

I'm sure I'll center many posts around these little guys! Just a shame the two molds are different shapes because I can guarantee my two will both want the same one!

Mexican Chicken

I've shared this recipe before when I reviewd the Kambrook Quatro Multi Cooker. This is what it looks like when you take the long way around, although I did cheat & used pre-cooked rice.

Brown your onion & celery

Then add your chicken & brown that too

Add your salsa jars when it's done

In the meantime mix your beans & rice together

Press them into your dish

Cover with some cheese, top with chicken mix & more cheese

Bake until golden (180 degrees for about 30  minutes)

CuteZ Cuddle Pals

Realising I've not gotten around to posting quite a bit over the last few years as life has gotten busier and busier, so here's a few catch ups!

Sandwiches that make the cut!

Cookie cutters can cut sandwiches too! 

For B's 2nd birthday three years ago, I did a teddy bears picnic birthday party! I cut sandwiches with bear shaped cookie cutters. The kids loved them! I didn't take photos of the bear sandwiches at the time (I had no premonition of this blog), but I did take a photo of the food on the table and look how few sandwiches are left and how the other food is virtually untouched!

I just need to remember that it doesn't have to be a party for me to cut sandwiches into fun shapes. I'm going to keep my cookie cutters right near the bread from now on. In fact I could give the kids the task of cutting their own sandwiches (and hence avoid disappointment over shape selection).
